Tori McInnes

Coach Tori has 18 years of coaching experience at clubs in Alberta and British Columbia. She has been a driving force in shaping young athletes into high-performance divers with her strong work ethic and love of diving that were fundamental in her own decorated career as a diver in Canada. Tori quickly established herself as a promising young coach who is adored by her athletes and families. Early in her coaching career, Tori worked with 2024 Olympian Caeli McKay and Senior National Team member Aimee Wilson during their formative years, and she is very proud of their success.
Tori’s passion for diving led her to Vancouver, BC, where she coached at White Rock Dive Club before returning to Calgary in 2024 to rejoin her home club, Dive Calgary. She coaches both National and Provincial level A and B athletes, continuing to foster excellence in the sport. Now a Level 3/Comp Dev Coach, Tori has coached multiple Junior National finalists and medalists. In 2022, she served as an assistant coach for the BC Diving Team at the Canada Summer Games in Niagara Falls, leading athletes to an impressive medal haul of one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.
In her own diving career, Tori was a standout competitor. She was a Junior and Senior National Team Member in 2003 and 2004, won a Junior National Championship title and set a Junior National Record on 3-meter. Tori competed internationally as a two-time Canada Cup athlete and a USA Grand Prix competitor where her achievements earned her a full scholarship to the University of Arkansas. In 2004 Tori was named BC Athlete of the Year and was the runner-up for the DPC Senior Female Diver of the Year Award, now known as the Bev Boys Award. Tori’s dedication, experience, and passion for the sport of diving continue to inspire the next generation of divers, fostering excellence both in and out of the pool.
