DIVE CALGARY ATHLETES DOMINATE AT WINTER PROVINICAL IN EDMONTON

Junior national team athlete Caeli McKay of Calgary stole the show this past weekend at the Winter Diving Provincials in Edmonton. The 13 year won all three gold medals in the open category on 1m, 3m and platform easily securing an Alberta training camp spot for the upcoming 2013 Sherbrooke Canada Games.

 

Dive Calgary Athletes won a total of 23 medals and came home with 11 gold medals and five new provincial champions.

 

The Gold medalists are:

 

Boys C age group: (12-13 yr old)

1 Meter: Yohan Eskrick- Parkinson

3 Meter: Yohan Eskrick-Parkinson

Platform: Tazman Abramowicz

 

Girls C age group: (12-13 yr old)

3 Meter: Isabel Loewen

Platform: Isabel Loewen

 

Girls B age group (14-15 yr old) 

1 Meter: Caeli McKay

3 Meter: Caeli McKay

Platform: Aimee Wilson

 

Women’s Open: (open age)

1 Meter: Caeli McKay

3 Meter: Caeli McKay

Platform: Caeli McKay

 

Dive Calgary Head Coach Charlie Tu would also like to acknowledge the outstanding results of Spencer Wildman who placed second in the Men’s Open Platform event and Ashley McCool who placed second in the Women’s Open Platform event.  Wildman and McCool also secured a spot on the Alberta training camp for the Canada Games.

 

Dive Calgary is proud to host the Speedo Junior Development National Championships August 3rd and 4th, 2013 at the Talisman Center.
