Most competitive springboard and platform divers commence their training in a recreational, learn-to-dive program.

Rocky Mountain Diving Club (RMDC) offers recreational learn-to-dive, pre-competitive lesson programs for all ages at Talisman Centre's world-class diving facility. Their coaches are nationally (NCCP) or internationally certified instructors with experience in coaching and diving. The RMDC goal is to provide quality technical springboard and platform diving instruction at the introductory level in a safe, controlled, and fun environment. Divers begin developing skills on one and three meter springboards and progress to three and five meter platforms as skills progress. Rocky Mountain Diving Club is also a novice talent identification program for Dive Calgary.

Rocky Mountain Diving Club offers a range of springboard and platform diving instruction for all ages, and for all levels of skill. Typical diving programs are ten weeks in length and are offered three times per year beginning in September, January and April. Class sizes are restricted to eight participants to ensure our goal of providing quality instruction in a safe, controlled and fun environment is achieved. Summer diving programs are also available in July and August.

Below is a description of each program, the participant's prerequisite age and skill level, as well as the skills which will be developed during the semester. Classes fill quickly, so to avoid disappointment, please review the list of programs below and contact RMDC directly at info@rockymountaindiving.ca or 403-473-4674 to discuss your or your child's needs or diving goals.
