Athletes join Dive Calgary by invitation after assessment of tumbling and diving skill, conditioning and flexibility, attitude, and level of commitment. National and International level competition is one of the fundamental goals of our divers and of the Club, requiring significant dedication on the part of the divers and their families. Below is a description of the diving programs which is how many of our divers begin their association with the club.

: Developmental Diving Team : Dive Calgary has added an additional team for those junior athletes who have the commitment and dedication for competitive diving, and who need further development of the basic diving fundamentals. Our pre-competitive, developmental team divers typically range in age from eight to twelve years and have had some basic introductory diving instruction. The goal of these divers, who train three to five times per week, two hours per session, is to institute proper technique and to develop competitive diving skills on the 1 and 3m springboards and some of the platforms.
